Water-Marbled Nails, Whatt?

Yes, the amount of ridiculously amazing things you can do with you nails only expands (seriously its A LOT). And I saw these amazing tutorials on obtaining a water-marbled nails look in two ways. They both are pretty time consuming and a tad messy but the outcome is just incredible!!!

Hey Academy Awards!

It's about that time that we review all the lovely looks from the 84th Academy Awards. Of course I turned of my cellphone and indulged in the wonderful award show. One of my favorite movies of 2011 was indeed The Help, so I was proud to see the cast and movie nominated for a variety of awards. And although I haven't seen Hugo yet I plan to carve out time to indulge in that; along with The Artist, War Horse, and The Descendants. I'm really excited about finally watching these movies. Without further ado join me as we fawn over just a few of the gorgeous gowns from this prestigious award show.

Erratic Obsessions

I have been continuously feeding into my new and improved obsession for loud, unique, and out-there collared shirts. I embrace the collared shirt for all the reasons that people absolutely despise it & I just couldn't. I'm obsessed! Printed collared-shirts, subtle collared-shirts, bold collared shirts! I'm in love & this silk, galaxy-type shirt is no exception to my obsession. And to add to the loveliness of this outfit- check out them wonderful heels!

Some people are bothered by clashing prints but to the contrary for me: I absolutely love clashing prints! I realize its not exactly for everyone but it's defiantly my type of thing to do. Take some cues from this amazingly successful mix. I'll defiantly be talking more about the idea of clashing prints!

Marni x H&M

In November, news of this collab garnished the ears of the fashion savvy but I was unsure of what to expect. I know I love H&M but they've been doing loads of collabs lately, I guess it was a matter of which ones stood out to me (which has been all of them so far- GOSHHH, I'm just loving these H&M collabs)! So this wonderful new collab's lookbook has recently been revealed and all I can say is NEUTRAL PRINTS! I'm kind of feeling the modern tribal prints that the Marni and H&M has graced us with and I don't think I'll be alone once you see some of these clothes! Indulge with me in these wonderful pieces created due to the creative minds behind the collaboration of the lovely Italian-based Marni and H&M, which shall be available March 8th online & in stores!

Printastic!

Prints, prints, prints! I honestly just can't get enough. And now that spring is almost here; it is indeed the time to re-stock my closet with ridiculous, spontaneous, wonderful prints & knowing me that is exactly what I am going to do. Prints are literally so much fun & can be paired with anything even other prints (which is what I tend to do).

Oh Spring!!!

FINALLY BACK! I've been M.I.A in Washington, D.C for four days & man how I've missed blogging! So glad to be back blogging about what I love. I had no down time & at the hotel the only internet available  was on the lobby floor so it was so annoying that I couldn't do a quick post right before bed or something. But now I am back home & I'm ultra excited to be blogging about spring-fashion! Eeeeeek, I'm in love with spring! Spring weather, spring fashion... Just the feel of spring is amazingggg! Honestly as awk as it is, I incorporate springy pieces in my everyday outfits whether it be winter, fall, or summer.  And this spring is no exception to the fabulosity (totally just made up that word) of spring.

The bold colors & pastels colors mixed together, the floral fabrics, the graphic stockings, and 'here-I-am' shoes! This look just makes me even more excited for this spring! Buckle up, its gonna be a fantastic ride!

MBN: Music's Biggest Night!

Music's Biggest Night graced my television screen last night as I watched the stars decked in absolutely amazing frocks cascading to and fro. As always there were MAJOR misses but those could never over-power the amount of amazingness of the red carpet. The Grammy's proceeded for me the way they normally do-with me having dancing jam sessions to my faveee performances and screaming to the top of my lungs when the person I was voting for won an award. Of course like I predicted the breathtaking Adele brought home the award in everything she was nominated for & I am so happy for her. I spend ample time digging into her songs and finding the passion in each word & her voice is out-of-this-world. Eeeeeek! Okay please bare with me as I show my faves from this wonderful night because it was plenty in number and deciding between them was so difficult so I opted against it.
Katy Perry in Elie Saab Haute Couture- I love that she color-coded her hair with this beautiful, trail-y frock! It's not her usual over-the-top costumy outfit. It's completely her yet elegant at the same time!

Adele in Custom Giorgo Armani- This black sparkly, elegant dress was perf for the star who dominated Music's Biggest Night! She is a beautiful, delight to look at!
Jessie J in Macdonald- The disco ball feel of this dress makes me feel like I've been warped back to the 80's to some high fashion chic party.
Corinne Bailey Rae in Christian Siriano- The shape and ruffles in this dress brings a quirky feel to an elegant, subtle color with the platforms, bold lips, & side-swept hair. PERFECTION!
Rihanna in Custom Armani- The amount of appeal this dress calls for is perfection for Rihanna. She manages to look extremely elegant despite being backless, having a plunging neckline, and having this thigh-high slit.
Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad- Taylor is known for her love of all things sparkles- a fact she never leaves out even on the red carpet & I LOVE IT!

Carrie Underwood in Gomez- Gracia- This dress screams "Hello, I'm here!"  Although conservative- looking it doesn't fail in showing skin with a cut-out back with the soft, romantic up-do. Defiantly a statement look!

Collared Bright

I normally spend wayyyyyy to much time searching for collared-shirts. Although people are somewhat bothered by them, I love them. Because I'm required to wear a collared-shirt to my school, I feel as if they have grown on me. So I see them more than just a requirement of dress code. They are a way to tone any outfit as well as giving it a classy, preppy feel. I'm observed how my fellow peers are content with the normal polos to fulfill the collar-requirement and at first I was too. But not anymore; too general, too expected. Plus I'm just getting tired of them. So I spent the time trying to find more than the expected polo or plaid collared-shirts and found some real unique shirts that would turn heads. For this search I headed to http://www.etsy.com/ to find beautiful and unique shirts that aren't exactly found in just any store.

FINALLY FOUND THEM!!!

Kayyyy so once upon a time when I was just fishing around the internet I came upon Susie Bubble and her wonderful blog. Her style is wonderful, colorful, cartoonish perfection & I couldn't resist. I found somehow found out a while back that she designed her own platform boots but I couldn't find them no matter how hard I tried. But I could not possibly give up the search and yesterday after all my hard work I finally found the magical shoes that have been on my mind for oh-so-long. I am dazzled with the idea of owning these beauties and finding the perfect outfit to compliment the perfect platform boots. The florescent yellow, gentle lilac, and subtle coral compliment one another perfectly. Not to mentioning the difference in fabrics: leather and pony hair. Its about that time to start saving as much as possible so my closet will be graced with these beauties. Shall I share?

T.V Thursday!!

ALL I WANNA DO IS WATCH ANOTHER EPISODE OF SMASH! This show made an absolute hit, it was incredible. And inspiring. And talent was just bursting out of my television when I watched this wonderful show. I'm absolutely excited for the upcoming episodes, I can't wait to see what is in store for all the characters. The characters are so unique and that fact alone brings a certain anxiousness when watching the show. Fall in love with the show Mondays at 10/9c on NBC!

Always ready to escape into a movie with amazing actors and actresses, a interesting plot, and a killer script!! But just to list a few:

                                                           Dr. Seuss': The Lorax

Call me a joke but I completely love this picture book and the fact that it actually has a bigger meaning. I love cartoon's they remind me so much that I don't always have to take myself seriously while teaching me lessons; WHOA! How do they do that:? Haha.

L-U-V Madonna!

She's a fashion icon without a doubt and she is not giving up her wonderful fashion sense anytime soon. The 80's fashion icon swirled a upbeat performance at the Superbowl last Sunday with Nicki Minaj, M.I.A, Cee Lo Green, and LMFAO. Just delightful! It was fun watching these weird, crazy, yet amazing outfits cascading the stage. Madonna sporting three wonderful custom-made outfits designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy Haute Couture.
